BlueSky Technology Partners makes a point to give back to the communities we live in by participating and being sponsors for numerous foundations and organizations. Most recently, we teamed up with the Live Like Andi Foundation for their 6th Annual Golf Outing! BlueSky has been a sponsor at this event since it began and has helped contribute to the more than $700,000 that has been raised nationally for the foundation.
The Live Like Andi Foundation was established in 2007 to honor the memory of Andrea Whitesell O’Connell who passed away after a 21-year battle with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC). In 2005, there was no national funding in place, no drug companies involved, no clinical trials conducted, and very little research occurred in support of ACC. Knowing that little research had been conducted in reference to ACC, Andrea insisted her tumors be donated in persistence of the foundation’s research goals.
With the start of the Live Like Andi Foundation, awareness of ACC has grown. National funding is now occurring, drug companies are now involved and numerous clinical trials are being conducted.
