HCL Commerce Featurette: Personalized Marketing
HCL Commerce, formerly IBM WebSphere Commerce, has been providing its customers with the ability to deliver personalized marketing experiences to their customers for years. This functionality isn’t new, but it is still worth highlighting. In this month’s HCL Commerce Featurette, I will break down the business/marketing capabilities that are central to the product today and share a bit about what is to come from HCL.
Marketers see an average increase of 20% in sales when using personalized experiences.
Businesses are looking to their eCommerce sites to help set the tone for a consistent shopping experience across all their channels. B2C and B2B marketers need to understand their customers more than ever to curate the right content and surface the right products to give the customer the best possible experience so they will buy again and again. Real-time personalization across all channels is key to the success of any business today.
Here are some of the marketing capabilities HCL Commerce provides to enable real-time personalization:
- Ability to deploy personalized marketing information based on browsing habits and shopping history through promotions, marketing eSpots, e-mails, and more.
- Ability to deliver various types of promotions (catalog level, order-level, and shipping promotions). Promotions can be set up for customer groups who respond well to promos and not offered to customer groups who are indifferent so as not to give away revenue unnecessarily.
- Cross-sell/Up-sell capabilities on-site and via other channels.
- New ElasticSearch and Content Management System (CMS) capabilities to be released in summer 2021.
- Business user tools have begun to be upgraded and will be a continuous focus for HCL going forward.
HCL Commerce has always focused on empowering businesses to engage their customers through personalized content. Now, more than ever, HCL is focused on bringing capabilities to help Marketing and eCommerce teams deliver relevant experiences to their customers across all channels.
