Team BlueSky Rides for Indiana Tour de Cure
The Tour de Cure was held Saturday, June 8, 2013, and Team BlueSky turned out in force to support the American Diabetes Association. The Tour de Cure is a series of cycling events in 44 states that help raise funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy. Diabetes is a serious chronic disease that affects 8.3 percent of the U.S. population.
Team BlueSky joined with riders from Indiana and across the country to experience this unique event at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Indiana Tour de Cure gave riders of all levels a chance to ride their bike around the world famous racetrack; from a family friendly option to the more grueling 100 Mile Ride –there was something for everyone. More than $400,000 was raised for the Indiana event alone and while donations are still being tallied – in previous years, Tour de Cure raised over $18 million countrywide. Proudly, Team BlueSky contributed a strong amount to the funds raised and outpaced our goal by greater than 20%. BlueSky thanks each rider on the team and the network of generous family, friends, business associates and colleagues that donated to the cause.
Thanks to Team BlueSky and the thousands of Americans who helped support this wonderful event. To learn more about Tour de Cure and the American Diabetes Association visit: http://bit.ly/15TCJl9
