BlueSky kicked off 2014 by being involved with Brooke’s Place’s during the Brackets for Good competition. This was an electronic/social media campaign where Brooke’s Place competed against 63 other nonprofits across the Indianapolis area. The competition was laid out similar to that of the NCAA bracket tournament. Supporters of each of the organizations would donate money via the Brackets for Good website – each dollar counting as one “point.” The competition ran from February 28-April 1. Throughout the competition, Brooke’s Place was a strong contender – beating out other nonprofit organizations such as St. Mary’s Child Center, Indiana Youth Services Association, and Project Home Indy. Unfortunately, they fell to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Indiana during the “Engaged Eight” round. BlueSky was a strong supporter of Brooke’s Place throughout the competition – raising awareness via our Facebook page as well as making a generous donation. Congratulations Brooke’s Place for raising a large amount of money for a great cause!
Brooke’s Place is a nonprofit organization providing support and services to grieving children and families in the belief that hope for tomorrow begins today. Brooke’s place is founded on the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to grieve in a supportive and understanding environment.
